JTC Registry BBQ 20 Feb 09
Kath invited the temp staff from JTC previously to join their BBQ gathering at West Coast Park. It had been quite a long time since I set foot there. There were more facilities and shelters added. However, the scenery was still as beautiful as before.

Boys like Girl

A kite soaring in the sky. I used to fly kites with KC on the grass field there. There was once we went there after one of the examinations in River Valley High. The weather then was pretty bad and lightning was flashing across the sky. I thought we were really lucky to be still alive today. Perhaps, we were trying to challenge Benjamin Franklin in his kite experiment which eventually showed that lightning was actually static electricity?

Spotted some colourful designed rubbish bins. All our rubbish bins should look like these.

Near the jetty, I found a red SLR?

How nice if I can have one of these parked along the shore?

I hope I won't wait too long before I got a chance to have my own cruising yacht. Dream on...

Port and Yacht Club

I met up with my colleagues in JTC. A warm welcome by them. (picture from Fendi, Thanks dude!)

Kath happily preparing the food.

The other Kath cooking the first few sticks of the day.

Zainal - Our BBQ manager

With everyone's help, the BBQ kicks off !

Food is ready. Wooah.

This BBQ was well-planned and there was a wide variety of food. I was pretty surprised to see salmons and mussels. And, Kath's sambal pelacan was a killer. I guessed it was hot enough to kill all the germs in the raw food. What logic was that?

Sudden rise of the flames. If my godfather was there, he would have shouted "Huat Ah".

Men's talk

Scandal?

Zainal out to entertain all of us with his hilarious speech.

Open to the floor for discussion.

Fendi's million dollar smile.

Cheers~ Thanks for the wonderful evening.

Sunday Shooting
Inspired by this young boy we saw at city hall, we grabbed our cameras and went shooting.

Boy boy with a Nikon (I believe a D40) and a tripod somemore! Serious business.

Beautiful Mel in the middle of the road.

Candid Mel

Went to the Big Durian, hoping to get some nice pictures. But, unluckily, it was rather hazy that day.

Looking for some inspirations in the misty weather.

I got her with the big wheel, floating soccer pitch and the upcoming integrated resort.

You snap me, I snap you.

2 photo men. The other in blue.

England fans.

Cool bike spotted with unique flashy colors. Even the chain and pedals are sky blue.

COMMIES365 has come to Singapore!
Finally, after preparing for almost half a year, Baby Mel and I has managed to open our first online shop - COMMIES365. Yea Yea Yea..Yet another online shop. Am I adding on to the crowd? When I intended to set up COMMIES365, this question haunted me for several weeks.
So, this is NOT going to be another online shop. Well...we want to earn $$$, but in a meaningful way! Our commies encapsulate many brillant ideas and designs. More commies to come.. There are really alot of designer stuffs out there and I believe we should all go and see them ourselves. Haha.. One day, I hope to see commies in the homes of all Singaporeans! Certainly, I would also wish to be selling Singaporeans' designs in COMMIES365. Anyone got any interesting ideas?
Sneak preview:

Thanks Baby Mel for all her support. This can never be possible without you.

Test Shots from 1D
Having said that the 1D has extremely fast AF and shutter speed, I finally got to see the pictures I took that day. I couldn't find any bumble bee in raffles city so maybe I thought I could get some nice effects from the water fountain.

The photos were taken in RAW and "cooked" in Lightroom 2.2.

Yesterday night while I was manually updating my 1D's firmware from version 1.3 to 1.4, an error kept showing up at the 98% bar. I tried like 3/4 times and the error kept appearing. Just as I was about to give up and get it fixed at CSC(since the camera won't boot up if the update was incomplete), I saw a happy note on the tiny screen "Update Completed". What can I say? It really has to depend on the mood of my 1D.

1D Classic
All might have noticed lesser entries. Mainly, due to school's busy schedule and the new hobby that I picked up - Photography. Lens are not cheap at all and I feel that I am getting the BBB virus ( buy , buy and BUY). However, I am waiting for my card-reader before I can get all my photos out of this new toy.

It is ancient, bulky and heavy. It may look old but it's definitely Canon's fastest DSLR with highest shutter speed of 1/16000 sec, capable of shooting 8 frames per second. Uzi..Yesh! The sound of the shutter shooting continuously is simply so beautiful.
I hope to see some nice photos from Baby Mel too since my Digital Kiss X is officially hers.

Day 6 of Year Ox'09
We went over to our uncle house for another CNY gathering. Wai Gong was there too.

Well.. Quan dislikes taking pictures, especially when he is doing work. Very hardworking boy indeed.

Jovan eating his favourite chocolate cake.

Jovan's elder sister, Xinyi. What's this expression about?

Jovan wanted to run away from the camera.

Mel was showing off her dress.

Baby Mel

Twins?

My elder sister playing with Kai's 450D.

Dad was busy commenting.

while my grandpa and brother-in-law were sitting quietly at one corner, watching tv shows.

Kai and Bettina
