This was specially recommended by my colleague and today, we decided to go down together to let me have a taste of it. The specialty is from Yunnan and has a story behind it. The story is pretty interesting. Briefly, it has got to do with a couple in the past. During the olden times, there was a wife who would prepare and deliver meals to her husband. But, she realized that the food always got cold before it came to her husband. So, she thought of a way:

The ingredients are mostly cold except the cooked pieces of chicken meat. The chicken soup in the claypot is kept hot by a layer of oil on top of the soup in the past. Hence, the wife brought the food separately to her husband and there they go..
They mixed the ingredients in the hot soup and amazingly, it's still piping hot when her husband ate it.
Luckily, now the chicken soup does not need to have a layer of oil. If not, it's going to be really unhealthy. The soup is well-seasoned by the chicken bones and this mixture of bee hoon, vege, sliced pork, chicken and quilt eggs reminds me of a mini hot pot. I also heard from another colleague of mine that the real authentic one in Yunnan is even better-tasted than this. The soup is really nice to me and for all you see, it cost only 10RMB. It's actually called 四喜过桥米粉. One can also order 五喜 or 六喜. Of course, the price will be higher as there will be more ingredients.
