Lately, I realized that there had been many issues on our national table-tennis management and players. Perhaps I can re-post my opinion which I posted earlier in the xin.sg forum.
记得有一天，我走在苏州市的观前街上，刚好有间电器店外正在直播李佳微对垒中国队的一场乒乓比赛。当时围观的人很多。忽然，有一位站在身旁的小姐问道，“那是谁呀”？“不就是那个卖国贼吗”另外一名小姐回答。
我听了，又气愤又有点儿惭愧。中国13亿人口，乒乓打得好的人随处可见。但是，能进国家队的只有几个。我想不用多说，你们也知道他们是怎样进行挑选队员的。
人因梦想而伟大，我们给予这些有实力但没机会的选手希望。一个人为了自己心爱的运动肯被别人取笑，甚至辱骂。说真的，我还蛮佩服李佳微的。
本人认为，新加坡在体育方面不是没有人才，只是我们还没做到位。毕竟，每个金牌背后所留下的汗水是不轻易让世人看见的。我想就凭着一点，我国的运动员就得多向他们学习了。
All in all, let's us not take it too hard on the players themselves. It's never easy to carry the hope of us, Singaporeans to compete in the global arena. It is all because of them that our beloved Singapore flag is able see some light during the games.
