My hundred bucks nearly ran away from me.

That day while I was sending Mel home, I did something "illegal" again(other than the U-turn I made like 4 years back). I was so furious when I saw this little yet powerful slip of paper slapped on my windscreen. Just like any other drivers who got a ticket for parking offences, I started to curse and swear, hoping that I was not the unlucky one and I could turn back time.
I must admit that it's my mistake not to park in designated HDB carparks. The carpark attendants from Premas are just doing their job. I should not make life difficult for them. I suppose law exists everywhere on Earth for a reason. What if a fire is to break out and the fire engines fail to have access to the block on time because of my ignorance and selfishness? The fact that many others are parking illegally doesn't give me the excuse to do the same. As remorseful as I sounded here, due to escalating living costs, I decided to send an appeal letter to the relevant authority. The summon which amounts to $100 will surely bring a long way to me and all I could do is to pray that they would review my case. After 2 weeks..

I got a letter from HDB. They are kind enough to waive off my fine. This is what I call a compassionate "fine" system.

Yesterday, I went over to IKEA Alexander to scout for a table top. I promise to give Mel a conducive environment to get her CAP 4.5 for her final year. Also, we didn't forget to drop down to the cafe for these..

Mel actually took this picture as she found the way this boy was savouring the chicken wing cute??
