A Day at Work

My workload is slowly piling up. VP Khong has planned to expose me to the entire process of construction, from the proposal stage to the maintenance stage. This will involve not only some engineering skills but also business knowledge and management skills. Therefore, these few days I have been reading through the company information, its scope of services and electrical design rules and regulations in China. For the first two weeks, I am working closely with the business development unit to draft out a proposal for a major project for University of Caterpillar. The proposal is not as easy as I thought it would be. There are many criteria needed to be fulfilled and the BD unit in JURONG must be able to reach a compromise in order to determine if JURONG should take on the project.

Overall, I still think being a student is so much relaxing and simpler than working. At least, nobody will be supervising you and you won’t be worrying if you will do anything wrong and get @#%^$^.
